(30in. x 48in.) This piece was drawn from my samples based off of Lake George, NY (see Weaving I Samples). As a culmination to a deep study of this place I wanted to really think about why I am so intrigued by it. Coming from Colorado, a beautiful but dry and rocky place, I am fascinated by the overwhelming sense of green and growth that exists in Lake George. It's like a whole new world. Furthermore, it is a place where I really can connect both to nature and to myself. There is sense of quiet and solitude yet simultaneously a great energy. Through this piece, I hoped to convey these observations and feelings.
